New Features

We have added new features to the Dome. Notice the data on this page showing the phases of the moon this month and the dates and times of the solstices and equinoxes this year.

By clicking on the links in the control area to the left you can get other information as well. The monthly calendar link will give you the phases of the moon and the calendar for any month in any year between 1700 and 2300 AD.

The link The Sky This Week will take you to Sky Publishing Company and a description of the notable things to be seen in the sky in the current week.

Notice that there is now also a dictionary link to the WWWebsterDictionary at Merriam-Webster Online. Use this link to look up an astronomical term or any other word.

The equinox and solstice link will give you the dates and times of the equinoxes and solstices for any year between 1700 and 2300 AD.

The link to the rising and setting of the sun and moon, gives you the time of sunrise and sunset for a specified day at whatever location on earth you choose.

The link for eclipses this year will give you information about the eclipses that will occur this year or have occurred. You can also find out about eclipses for a selected year. For still more information on upcoming or past eclipses, check out Fred Espenak's Eclipse Page at NASA/Goddard and the Sky and Telescope Eclipse Page.

New Stuff to Come

The Dome is still expanding. We are going to be adding sky charts that display still more information. We hope to add a news page and bulletin board as well. Keep coming back to check out what is new!
