Description of the Star
Rasalgethi B is a close binary consisting of a yellow G5III giant and a yellowish F2V main sequence star revolving in a nearly circular orbit around their common center of mass. The period is 51.6 days. The masses of the two stars are estimated to be 4.1 and 2.5 solar masses respectively.
